On August 11th, the Editorial Board held a meeting to prepare for the launch of the Health Today Media channel, scheduled to take place on August 20th, 2026 in Hanoi. The meeting was chaired by the Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Tran Doan Tien, and attended by the Editorial Board and relevant departments. Many important aspects related to the program, organization, guest speakers, content production, and communication plan for the event were reviewed and finalized.

According to the recently issued decision on health insurance coverage targets for the period 2026-2030, the percentage of people participating will gradually increase each year. From 95.98% in 2026, this figure is expected to reach 100% by 2030. Even in the pivotal year of 2026, many provinces and cities have already received high targets, notably Hanoi (96.25%), Ho Chi Minh City (96%), and mountainous regions like Cao Bang (99.36%).

To commend and honor exemplary orphaned and abandoned children who have shown willpower and determination to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies, training, and lives; and to acknowledge and express gratitude to organizations and individuals who have made significant contributions to the care of orphaned and abandoned children, the Vietnam Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities is organizing the First "Flowers Offered to Uncle Ho" Program - 2026, in Hanoi.

The digital environment delivers clear gains: online birth registration, broader access to educational resources beyond classrooms and borders, and deeper integration into social life via national databases on law, education, health care, and population data. But it also introduces hazards such as harmful content, cyberbullying, online sexual harassment, personal data breaches, privacy violations, and potential psychological fallout from excessive screen time.

According to information from the Vietnam Social Insurance, the Government has just issued Decree No. 161 regulating the basic salary and bonus regime for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and the armed forces. Accordingly, from July 1, 2026, the basic salary will be raised from 2.34 million VND to 2.53 million VND/month.

On February 28th, news of severe damage to educational and sports facilities in southern Iran from airstrikes caused a major shock. In the city of Minab, the Shajareh Tayyebeh girls' elementary school suffered extensive damage during morning classes. A school staff member tearfully recounted the chaotic scene as students aged 7 to 12 faced danger in their classrooms, which are supposed to be the safest spaces.

On February 4, the Vietnam Red Cross Society, in coordination with the Dak Lak provincial authorities, organised the programme “Tet for Flood-Affected Communities” in Tay Hoa commune. The Children's Health Magazine - suckhoetreem.vn will organize the first "Nurturing Compassion" program in 2025 to call upon benevolent hearts to join hands in helping children in special circumstances celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026. The program will be broadcast live on Channel 2 of Hanoi Radio and Television Station from Studio S1, Military Radio and Television Center (165 Xa Dan Street, Hanoi), from 8:10 PM to 9:30 PM (90 minutes) on January 26, 2026.

The “Digital Classroom” model follows five German-standard pillars covering digitalised school management, lecturer capacity building, interactive digital learning resources, modern teaching infrastructure, and stronger links between vocational schools and businesses. The model will be adapted to local vocational education conditions in Ho Chi Minh City.

The 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam on January 22 afternoon announced the results and approved the list of 200 newly-elected members of the 14th Party Central Committee, including 180 official members and 20 alternate members.
