Chairman of the Vietnam Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities, Ngo Sach Thuc, presents scholarships to 100 students in Hung Yen

On the morning of October 6th, in response to the 11th "Lighting Up Hope for Children" program - 2026, launched by the Vietnam Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities, the Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Children's Rights in Hung Yen province, in coordination with representatives of T&T Group (the sponsor), organized a meaningful activity to award scholarships totaling 100 million VND to 100 orphaned and disadvantaged students studying in Tong Tran and Nam Dong Hung communes (Hung Yen province).

Attending from the Central Committee of the Association were Mr. Ngo Sach Thuc - Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities, who attended, gave a speech and presented gifts to the students. Also present were Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tu - Deputy Head of the Resource Mobilization Department of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities, and reporters from the Children's Health Magazine.

Representing Hung Yen province were Ms. Dang Thi Chien, Vice Chairperson of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen province; Mr. Thieu Minh Quynh, Vice Chairperson of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen province and Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union; Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ba Lam, Head of the Movement Building Team - Planning Department, Hung Yen Provincial Police; Mr. Hoang Minh Son, Director of the Newspaper, Radio and Television of Hung Yen province; representatives from various departments and agencies of Hung Yen province; and Ms. Bui Thi Nga, Chairperson of the Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Children's Rights of Hung Yen province, along with other provincial leaders of the Association.

On the sponsoring side, Mr. Dang Thanh Cong, Project Development Team Leader - representing T&T Group; Mr. Thai Anh Dung, Project Development Specialist - T&T Group; and specialists from T&T Group's Communications Department attended the gift-giving ceremony for the students. Also present were representatives from the local government of Tong Tran and Nam Dong Hung communes (Hung Yen province); representatives from the teachers of Tong Tran Secondary School and Nam Dong Hung Secondary School; family members and students, including children with disabilities, orphans, and those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Representatives from Hung Yen province's newspapers, radio, and television stations, and reporters from the Children's Health Magazine also covered the event.

Ha Thi Bich Ngoc, a student in class 9A1 at Tong Tran Secondary School (Tong Tran commune, Hung Yen province), comes from a disadvantaged background. Her father passed away early, and her mother recently suffered an accident. Scholarships are being awarded to support students' dreams of going to school and a bright future.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Ngo Sach Thuc, Chairman of the Vietnam Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities, affirmed: This is a practical and highly meaningful program, awarding scholarships to support the dreams of disabled, orphaned, and disadvantaged students to attend school; thereby strongly spreading the message of the 11th "Lighting Up Hope for Children" program - 2026, launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities. At the same time, these activities also mark the beginning of a new phase of development for the Vietnam Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities, with a larger scale, more modern and effective methods of operation in community support, assistance for people with disabilities, orphaned children, and other vulnerable groups in society.

Dr. Ngo Sach Thuc, Chairman of the Vietnam Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities, expressed his sincere gratitude for the sponsorship and support from T&T Group, other benefactors, the cooperation of management agencies at all levels, and the collaboration of local authorities. He also hoped that more people would join hands with the Vietnam Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities to support disabled children, orphans, and children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Every act of care, sharing, and support can help a child gain more confidence, continue attending school, and nurture their dreams. Joining hands today means giving these children more opportunities to build a better future.

This program, with its humanitarian significance, aims to mobilize social resources to care for and support disabled, orphaned, and disadvantaged students, creating conditions to help them and their families have more motivation to strive in their studies and lives.

These scholarships are very meaningful – practical support for disadvantaged students, helping to alleviate difficulties in transportation and encouraging them to continue striving in life. The activity demonstrates the spirit of mutual support and the concern of organizations, businesses, and the community for disadvantaged children. Through this, it contributes to spreading positive humanitarian values and effectively implementing social welfare and protection work of the Vietnam Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities, together with the Provincial Association in Hung Yen province.

According to the recently issued decision on health insurance coverage targets for the period 2026-2030, the percentage of people participating will gradually increase each year. From 95.98% in 2026, this figure is expected to reach 100% by 2030. Even in the pivotal year of 2026, many provinces and cities have already received high targets, notably Hanoi (96.25%), Ho Chi Minh City (96%), and mountainous regions like Cao Bang (99.36%).

The "Flowers Offered to Uncle Ho" program will be held at 8:00 AM on July 10, 2026, at La Thanh Guest House (226 Van Phuc Street, Ngoc Ha Ward, Hanoi).
