Launching the Health Today Media Channel and initiating the second "Nurturing Compassion" program

On the morning of August 20th in Hanoi, the Children's Health Magazine held the launch ceremony for its specialized channel, Health Today Media, and the second "Nurturing Compassion" program. This event marks a new stage in multi-platform communication activities and further affirms its role in connecting communities through meaningful humanitarian programs.

After more than 6 months of preparation, the Health Today Media channel officially launched with the aim of expanding the methods of conveying information about health, life, children, living environment, and social activities to the public across multiple platforms.

The launch of this channel is expected to create a modern, intuitive, and accessible media space, meeting the increasingly diverse information consumption trends of the public, especially young people. 

From Child Health Magazine to Multi-Platform Media Space

Throughout its development, the Journal of Child Health has continuously innovated its content presentation methods. Alongside traditional journalistic products, it has moved towards media formats suitable for the digital environment, such as data journalism, multimedia magazines (longform/e-magazines), infographics, and video content.

Overview of the ceremony.

Based on that foundation, Health Today Media is built as a specialized channel, combining journalistic content, images, videos, data, and storytelling. The products are presented in various forms such as news reports, interviews, panel discussions, thematic videos, character stories, and other visual media products.

Beyond expanding its reach to readers, the channel also aims to create a space for connection between the press, experts, businesses, social organizations, and the community, thereby contributing to bringing practical information about health and life closer to the public.

The overarching message of Health Today Media is: "For health – For a better life".

Sections related to daily life

In his opening remarks at the ceremony, Dr. Tran Doan Tien, Editor-in-Chief of the Children's Health Magazine, emphasized: "With the overarching message: "For health – For a better life", the channel is built as a multi-platform journalistic space, applying digital technology, visual graphics, video reports, and modern storytelling art. We incorporate into it sections that are rich in life and imbued with humanistic values such as: 'Healthy Living from Home,' 'Following the Traces of Health,' 'Buddhism and Life,' 'Child Stars,' along with two special sections: 'Nurturing Compassion' and 'Journey of Love.' The channel not only provides accurate medical knowledge or healthcare advice from experts, but also tells stories of resilience, directly connecting those facing difficulties with the outstretched arms of the community".

The most important goal of communication on the Health Channel at may Media is to convey the message "For health - For a better life" to a wide audience and readers. This message gradually touches the hearts and minds of the community and society, transforming into awareness, responsibility, and positive actions in caring for children's health and protecting their rights, especially those of vulnerable children.

Dr. Tran Doan Tien, Editor-in-Chief, delivered the opening remarks, officially announcing the launch of Today's Health Media Channel and initiating the second "Nurturing Compassion" program. 

Accordingly, "Healthy Living from Home" focuses on the living environment, living space, and factors that can impact human health, especially that of young children and families.

"Following the Health Trail" addresses issues, stories, and trends of societal interest in the healthcare field, with the participation of experts and journalistic perspectives.

In addition to professional content, the sections "Nurturing Compassion" and "Journey of Love" focus on difficult circumstances, inspiring stories, and community activities, thereby spreading the spirit of sharing in society.

Meanwhile, "Child Star" focuses on children, young talents, and inspiring stories of their journey to adulthood. "Buddhism and Life" explores spiritual values, aiming for balance, compassion, and the good things in life.

Mr. Ngo Sach Thuc, Chairman of the Vietnam Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities, stated that the launch of the Health Today Media channel is a development in line with modern media trends, contributing to bringing information about health, life, and social activities closer to the community.  
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh, Head of the People's Electronic Affairs Committee, shared this at the ceremony.  

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh, Head of the People's Electronic Media Department, shared: "The launch of Health Today Media is a necessary step, in line with the development trend of modern journalism and the changes in how the public receives information". He expects the channel to leverage the strengths of multi-platform media, providing accurate, practical, and relatable content, especially in the field of health and life. "I believe that with a clear direction and serious investment, Health Today Media will create its own mark, becoming a useful information channel with widespread influence in the community", Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh emphasized.

With this orientation, Health Today Media aims not only to provide information but also to build a responsible media space where each story can become a bridge between individuals and the community.

Continue spreading the "Nurturing Compassion" program

Officially launching the second "Nurturing Compassion" program, Dr. Tran Doan Tien stated: The "Nurturing Compassion" program aims to mobilize social resources, encouraging agencies, businesses, individuals, and philanthropists to join hands in caring for and supporting disabled children and children in special circumstances; providing scholarships and helping them fulfill their dreams of going to school. We believe that this journey of compassion will not end after applause, but will continue to spread to every home and every child's life. 

Immediately following today's launch ceremony, the Organizing Committee of the Second "Nurturing Compassion" Program officially began accepting applications. Based on the submitted applications and the scoring results from the criteria of the "Nurturing Compassion" Program Regulations, the Organizing Committee will honor the generous hearts, encourage beautiful values, and spread the spirit of continuous sharing among the winning groups and individuals at the closing ceremony and awards presentation of the Second "Nurturing Compassion" Program, which will be broadcast live on television during the Lunar New Year of 2027.

On behalf of the Editorial Board, Mr. Nguyen Anh, a member of the Editorial Board, introduced the key contents of the Regulations on Nurturing Compassion in 2026 (https://suckhoetreem.vn/van-de-quan-tam/quy-che-tham-gia-chuong-trinh-uom-mam-nhan-ai-lan-thu-hai-131495.html). Mr. Tu emphasized: “The ‘Nurturing Compassion – Second Edition’ program not only seeks charitable activities with material value, but also focuses more on the humanistic aspect, social impact, sustainability, and the potential for spreading good deeds".
