The program brought together 170 outstanding delegates—orphans and abandoned children selected from across the country for their remarkable achievements in learning, personal development, and perseverance.
Among the delegates were 43 primary school students, 104 lower secondary school students, and 22 upper secondary school students. The group included 152 Kinh students, 15 students from ethnic minority communities, and 30 children being cared for at Buddhist institutions. Academically, 113 delegates achieved good or excellent results, while 56 received awards in provincial and national academic competitions.
These 170 children represent exemplary role models whose determination and resilience have enabled them to overcome adversity and excel in their studies and personal growth. Their achievements not only reflect individual effort but also embody the values of compassion, perseverance, and social responsibility, serving as an inspiration to communities nationwide.
The "Flowers Offered to Uncle Ho" program will take place from July 8 to 10, 2026, as one of a series of meaningful activities celebrating the success of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the elections of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term, and the First National Congress of the Vietnam Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities for the 2026–2031 term.
The program reflects the consistent commitment of the Party, the State, and society to safeguarding the rights and well-being of children, particularly those living in difficult circumstances. It also reaffirms Vietnam's policy of promoting economic development alongside social welfare and equal opportunities for vulnerable groups.
Beyond recognizing the remarkable achievements of orphaned and abandoned children who have overcome hardship through extraordinary determination, the program also honors organizations, businesses, and individuals whose generosity and sustained support have helped improve the lives of disadvantaged children. By celebrating these contributions, the program seeks to preserve and promote the nation's long-standing tradition of solidarity and compassion while encouraging broader public participation in charitable and humanitarian activities.
The Vietnam Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities hopes the program will further raise public awareness of the challenges faced by orphaned and abandoned children, recognize inspiring examples of resilience, and express appreciation to the sponsors and partners whose support has made the initiative possible. The Association also looks forward to the continued support of journalists, media organizations, and broadcasters in promoting and accompanying the "Flowers Offered to Uncle Ho" program.
