Vietnam performs over 1,000 organ transplants annually, the highest rate in Southeast Asia, however, the country’s organ donation rate from brain-dead donors remains among the lowest in the world.

On the evening of February 22, 2025, at the Music One Theater - VOH Ho Chi Minh City People's Radio Station, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for the Relief of Disabled Children and Children's Health Magazine successfully organized and spread a series of events: Charity Ambassador Program; Campaign "Joining hands to support disabled children" and the Launching Ceremony of the Quiz Contest "For Children's Smiles".

The “Giving Spring Love 2025” program gave 3,000 Tet gifts to poor, orphaned, disabled children and children in difficult circumstances in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces.

To support and share with people with disabilities, the poor, and children in remote and border areas, the Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities, the Poor, and Child Rights of Tay Ninh Province organized the Tet Gift Giving Program for 2025, under the motto "No one left behind during Tet".

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and National Assembly Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Dinh visited and extended Lunar New Year (Tet) wishes to localities and units on January 14.

According to data from the General Statistics Office of Vietnam at the beginning of 2019, the country has approximately 6.2 million people with disabilities aged 2 and older, including around 1 million individuals with autism. It is estimated that for every 100 children born, one child is diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.

As many as 2,500 households in Yen Bai province are supported in Save the Children’s emergency relief and recovery program in the aftermath of Typhoon Yagi (storm No.3).

State Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan called for renovating operations of the National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC) at a meeting with its Sponsorship Council in Hanoi on October 16.

In the afternoon of September 10, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held a launching ceremony to support people affected by storm No. 3 with Party General Secretary and State President To Lam attending.

On September 16, 2024, in My Duc district, Hanoi, the Compassion & Life Magazine (under the Vietnam Relief Association for Disabled Children) collaborated with the Trade Union of the Central Propaganda Department, the Communist Party of Vietnam Online Newspaper, and the People's Committee, the Women's Union of My Duc district, Hanoi, to organize the program "Sharing Love - A Warm Mid-Autumn Festival" for 300 children with disabilities and those in difficult circumstances in the district.
