The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committees at all levels in Ho Chi Minh City have provided nearly 200,000 gift packages worth about 110 billion VND (4.36 million USD) for disadvantaged people and policy beneficiary families on the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet), the city’s VFF Committee announced on February 4.

More than 1.48 million poor and near-poor households across Vietnam were given much-needed relief during the 2025 Lunar New Year (Tet), thanks to gifts and assistance amounting to 786 billion VND (31.44 million USD), reported the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs on February 3.
