Dear beloved children!

On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, I warmly send my dearest affection to all Vietnamese children, both within and outside of Vietnam, as well as foreign children living in Vietnam.

The Mid-Autumn Festival, the festival for children, falls on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month. On this day, children gather with their families, grandparents, and parents to enjoy festivities, lantern processions, lion dances, and feast under the full moon, or listen to their grandparents and parents tell the "fairy tales of Mid-Autumn." Each Mid-Autumn Festival becomes a cherished childhood memory for all of us.

I sincerely hope that with every Mid-Autumn Festival, you will have a happier, more fulfilling, and meaningful celebration, both in material and spiritual terms, thanks to the care of your families, schools, and society.

I wish for you all to always be obedient, healthy, diligent in your studies, hardworking, and compassionate. May you live with aspirations, follow the "Five Teachings" of President Hồ Chí Minh for children, and always be excellent students and dutiful children. Strive to become the pride of your families, your clans, and your nation.

This year’s Mid-Autumn Festival is incomplete due to the severe impacts of natural disasters that have affected many families, villages, and communities. Sadly, some children have lost their lives, and many others have lost their loved ones and homes, now living in extremely difficult circumstances. I extend my deepest condolences to the families and relatives of the children who have been victims of the storms and floods, and I hope that we all find the strength to overcome this pain and loss.

To the children in the storm-affected areas, I remind you to always be cautious and safe while studying and playing. Avoid dangerous places, stay away from rivers, streams, ponds, and lakes, and always remember your parents' and teachers' advice to protect yourselves and your friends.

I send all of you my love, trust, and hope.

Affectionately,

Tô Lâm
