30 medical centers in Hanoi to be managed by districts, towns and cities

The Hanoi People's Committee held a conference to hand over 30 medical centers under the Hanoi Department of Health to the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities for management. After the handover, the Hanoi Department of Health will continue to preside over, guide, supervise and inspect the medical centers regarding expertise and profession.

The Hanoi People's Committee held a conference to hand over 30 medical centers under the Hanoi Department of Health to the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities for management.
These 30 medical centers perform the function of providing professional and technical services in preventive medicine, medical examination and treatment, rehabilitation, food safety, population and other medical services according to regulations.
Hanoi City currently has 579 medical stations under medical centers; 4 maternity homes under medical centers of Ba Dinh, Hai Ba Trung, Hoan Kiem, Dong Da districts; 55 regional polyclinics under 30 medical centers of districts and towns.
In the past time, the Hanoi Department of Health has managed and used resources effectively, economically and in accordance with the assigned functions and tasks to implement epidemic prevention and control, grassroots health care and preventive medicine in the capital.
Previously, on August 21, 2024, the Hanoi People's Committee issued Decision 4365/QD-UBND on transferring the Health Centers under the Hanoi Department of Health to the People's Committees of districts, towns and Son Tay town.
To continue to effectively implement grassroots health care after transferring the District Health Centers under the Hanoi Department of Health to the People's Committees of Son Tay Districts, Towns and Cities for management, the City People's Committee issued Decision 4917/QD-UBND dated September 19, 2024 on the Regulations on coordination between the Hanoi Department of Health and the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities in managing the activities of District Health Centers.
To continue to effectively implement grassroots health care after the transfer, the City People's Committee issued regulations on coordination between the Department of Health and the People's Committees of districts, towns and Cities with the following basic contents: coordination in implementing programs, planning, plans, projects and proposals on caring for, protecting and improving people's health at the district level; and coordination in professional, technical and technical management.
The Hanoi Department of Health and localities coordinate in managing organization and human resources; Training and fostering professional skills for medical staff; inspecting and examining the implementation of programs, plans, projects, proposals, deploying professional tasks, providing services in the field of care, protection and improvement of people's health.

The program will be broadcast live on Channel 2 of Hanoi Radio and Television Station from Studio S1, Military Radio and Television Center (165 Xa Dan Street, Hanoi), from 8:10 PM to 9:30 PM (90 minutes) on January 26, 2026.
