Flowers Offered to Uncle Ho - Spreading compassion, honoring exemplary individuals with disabilities

The "Flowers Offered to Uncle Ho" program will be held at 8:00 AM on July 10, 2026, at La Thanh Guest House (226 Van Phuc Street, Ngoc Ha Ward, Hanoi). This is the first program organized by the Central Association for the Protection of Disabled People of Vietnam, carrying significant meaning for the community. As part of the "Flowers Offered to Uncle Ho" program, a series of activities will take place on July 8th and 9th, 2026.

The "Flowers Offered to Uncle Ho" program will include the following activities:

On July 8th, 2026 (from 10:00 AM, the Organizing Committee will divide the participants into 5 groups and guide them in writing down their dreams; from 2:05 PM to 4:15 PM, delegates will watch a circus performance at the Central Circus); on July 9th, 2026 (from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM, the ceremony of reporting achievements to Uncle Ho will be held, followed by a visit to Uncle Ho's Mausoleum); from 9:30 AM to 11:15 AM, a visit to the National Assembly building and a meeting with National Assembly leaders; from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will meet with, present gifts to, and award certificates of merit to the delegates).

On July 9th, leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front met with, presented gifts and certificates of merit to, and commended orphaned children who have overcome difficulties to excel in their studies and follow the moral example of Ho Chi Minh. 

The program was attended by 170 delegates, all orphaned children from across the country, including: 43 primary school students, 104 secondary school students, and 23 high school students. Ethnic groups: 155 Kinh children and 15 ethnic minority children. Achievements: 113 children achieved good or excellent academic results; 57 children were outstanding students who won awards in many subjects in provincial and national competitions. These 170 delegates are 170 of the brightest flowers in the forest of patriotic emulation, achieving many accomplishments in their studies and training.

Informing reporters from the Children's Health Magazine, the leader of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities - representing the Organizing Committee, said: ““Flowers Offered to Uncle Ho” is a humane, meaningful, and practical program to celebrate the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party; the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and the election of deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; and the First National Congress of the Vietnam Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities, 2026-2031 term.

On the morning of May 19th, in Hanoi, the First National Congress of the Vietnam Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities, for the term 2026-2031, held its session in an atmosphere of enthusiasm, solemnity, unity, and innovation, upholding the tradition of solidarity, compassion, and social responsibility as the country enters a new era. Ms. Ha Thi Nga, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vice President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, attended and delivered an important speech guiding the Congress.
