"Lighting Up Hope for the Children" - 9th Edition

Over 2,150,000,000 VND (Two billion one hundred fifty million VND) was allocated to support 1,330 disabled children in the Mekong Delta and provide aid to disabled children affected by Typhoon No. 3.

Attending the program were Mr. Nguyễn Văn Hiếu – Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, Mr. Ngô Sách Thực – Former Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and President of the Vietnam Association for the Support of Disabled Children, Ms. Đỗ Thị Huệ – Vice President of the Association, Mr. Nguyễn Trung Nhân – Member of the Standing Committee of the Can Tho City Party Committee and President of the Can Tho City Fatherland Front Committee, Mr. Nguyễn Thực Hiện – Member of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Can Tho City People’s Committee, along with representatives of the leadership from central ministries, Can Tho City, and 12 leaders of the provincial Fatherland Front from the Mekong Delta. Representatives from sponsors, businesses, and 130 disabled children overcoming difficulties in Can Tho City also participated.

The congress was organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation and the Organizing Committee for the Establishment of the Vietnam Disabled Youth Association, in collaboration with other units.
