Vietnam’s Hotline 111 is now available free of charge, operating 24/7 to support victims of human trafficking and vulnerable groups. The hotline serves as both a reporting channel and a counselling platform, offering legal guidance, emotional support, and referrals to essential services such as healthcare and social assistance. Victims, family members, or concerned citizens can file reports, which are promptly forwarded to relevant authorities including police, border guards, and local administrations for action.

In emergencies, Hotline 111 acts as a critical link, enabling swift intervention to protect victims. At the launch ceremony, Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Tri Thuc emphasized the ministry’s commitment to working with domestic and international partners to ensure the hotline’s professional and effective operation. He highlighted the initiative as a symbol of Vietnam’s dedication to human-centred development and global cooperation against trafficking.

Kendra Rinas, Chief of Mission of IOM Viet Nam, noted IOM’s support since 2020, funded by the UK Government. The organization has enhanced counselling services, expanded the service directory, and led awareness campaigns. Jane Parrot from the British Embassy in Ha Noi reaffirmed the UK’s commitment to continued collaboration with Vietnam in combating human trafficking and supporting reintegration efforts for affected individuals./.
