More than 140,000 works participated in the "I draw volunteering colors" contest

On October 27, at the Hai Phong City Children's Cultural Palace, the Central Council of the Young Pioneers, Colokit Art Supplies Brand - Thien Long Group Joint Stock Company organized the summary of the "Color Festival" in 2024, awarding prizes to the Children's Painting Contest with the theme "I draw volunteering colors".

This is the 7th year, the two units have coordinated to implement the program "Color Festival", with the desire to create a healthy, useful playground with colors for teenagers and children; encourage creativity, contribute to nurturing and developing painting and fine art skills, helping children promote their talents and develop comprehensively.

"Color Festival" - Children's Painting Contest 2024, held from May to September 2024, received positive responses from the Youth Union Councils at all levels; Palaces, Children's Houses, Youth Activity Centers, Team bases; teachers, parents and especially children across the country.

Speaking at the program, Vice President of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers, Director of the Center for Support and Development of Vietnamese Children Le Anh Quan shared that after more than 5 months of implementation, the Organizing Committee has received more than 140,000 paintings from children, expressing many creative perspectives, rich content, and vivid forms. Although each work has a different way of expression, most of the children praised the examples and beautiful images of outstanding young pioneers, children, union members, and youth in the volunteer movement and activities to care for teenagers and children.

By their innocent drawings, the children brought to the contest many outstanding works of art. Typical works include: "Youth vegetable garden" by Nguyen Phuc Gia Han (Tien Giang province); "Support for the 500KV power line project, circuit 3" by Tran Pham Tra My (Ben Tre province); "Colors of volunteering" by Bui Thi Phuong Linh (Hai Duong province); "We take care of the red address in the revolutionary homeland" by Ly Phuong Chi (Cao Bang province); "House of love" by Nguyen Huyen Minh (Hai Phong city); "Support for storm and flood relief" by Doan Nguyen Minh (Da Nang city)...

This year, the series of activities "Color Festival" 2024 - Responding to the painting contest was held in 9 provinces and cities including: Hanoi, Lao Cai, Quang Binh, Dak Nong, Dong Thap, Khanh Hoa, Ba Ria Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh City; attracting more than 4,000 children to participate, bringing them a creative experience space with interesting colors.

This is not only an activity in response to the 60th anniversary of the "Three Readies" Movement, 10 years of the "Year of Volunteer Youth", 25 years of the Summer Volunteer Youth Campaign... but also a forum for children to express their feelings and beliefs in the care and guidance of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, its members and young people.

From more than 140,000 works, the Organizing Committee awarded 15 collective prizes (5 A prizes and 10 B prizes) to the Provincial and Municipal Youth Unions and School Unions that achieved excellent results in organizing the contest and had many participating works.

43 individual prizes were awarded to children with outstanding paintings, including: 1 Special prize (Nguyen Phuc Gia Han, Xuan Dieu Secondary School, Tien Giang province), 2 First prizes (Tran Pham Tra My, Ben Tre province; Bui Thi Phuong Linh, Hai Duong province), 4 Second prizes, 6 Third prizes, 30 Encouragement prizes divided equally between Primary and Secondary schools.

Within the framework of the program, in the experience area, children can immerse themselves in a fun space with colors, paint to create useful personal items, participate in exciting physical games and receive useful gifts.
