Starting January 1, 2025, people can purchase medicine online from Long Chau pharmacy via the VNeID application. This feature is part of the digital transformation of Ho Chi Minh City's healthcare sector, bringing significant benefits like time savings, cost reductions, comprehensive health monitoring, and easing the burden on the healthcare system.

Most hospitals in the city have adopted digital tools like online appointment systems, patient information kiosks, and cashless payment options. The electronic health record integrated into the VNeID app connects data across healthcare facilities and the health insurance claim portal.

Hospitals are increasingly using AI in medical treatments, such as robotic surgeries, AI-enhanced imaging diagnostics, and AI in radiation therapy planning. Nhan Dan 115 Hospital has pioneered AI RAPID software for treating cerebral infarction. Private hospitals also use AI for advanced procedures.

Community health management and epidemic prevention have been digitized with GIS at the Ho Chi Minh City CDC to monitor infectious diseases and support epidemiological surveillance.

The city's healthcare sector is also focusing on technology in administrative management and reforms, including a portal for the public to find suitable healthcare facilities based on various criteria./.
