On February 24, 2025, the Dominican Embassy in Vietnam hosted a grand celebration marking the 181st anniversary of the Dominican Republic’s independence.

The event with the presence of high-ranking officials, business leaders, and key partners from various sectors, including economy, culture, and trade.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Ambassador stressed “I would like to highlight the significance of the bilateral relations between the Dominican Republic and Vietnam. These relations, founded on mutual respect and cooperation, have led to the visit of sixteen delegations in the Dominican Republic, consisting of distinguished officials and business leaders from prominent Vietnamese institutions and corporations across various sectors, including construction, manufacturing, energy, industrial parks, agriculture, and telecommunications, all within a remarkably short period of time.

In the economic sector, we see great potential to expand trade exchanges between the two countries. Both countries have many products to offer to each other. Vietnam, with its dynamic economy and growing middle class, represents an attractive market for our products. At the same time, the Dominican Republic can benefit from Vietnam's expertise in sectors such as agriculture and manufacturing.
