Dismantling a large-scale fake bird's nest production line

The test results showed that out of 15 types, 5 types did not contain Sialic Acid - the main nutritional component of bird's nest; the remaining 10 types only reached 1% of the normal standard content.

Nearly 38,000 bottles of finished bird's nest drinks of 15 different types were counterfeited, with bird's nest content of less than 1%.

After the Economic Police Department of Da Nang City Police busted a large-scale fake bird’s nest production line, public opinion in the city was shaken. Most people are interested in the labels of fake products to avoid them.

As reported, on September 11, the Economic Police Department of Da Nang City Police issued a decision to prosecute and temporarily detain Nguyen Thanh Truong (36 years old, residing in Hai Phong City) and Nguyen Ngoc Chau (38 years old, residing in Hoi An Ward, Da Nang City) for the crime of "producing and trading in counterfeit food products".

Since 2023, Truong has consecutively established 2 companies in Da Nang City, legally registered under the names of Nguyen Ngoc Chau and Chau's sister. However, all production and business activities are directly managed by Truong.

In early 2024, Truong invested in machinery and set up a factory in Dien Ban Dong ward, directing Chau to research and produce fake "bird's nest". The entire process of mixing, bottling, labeling, and packaging was directly carried out by the two subjects. The "fake bird's nest" products were made and widely distributed in Da Nang, Thanh Hoa, Hai Phong, etc., deceiving thousands of consumers.

The machinery system inside the factory was used by the subjects to produce fake bird's nest.

The test results showed that 5 types did not contain Sialic Acid (the main nutritional component of bird's nest), the remaining 10 types had a content of only 1% compared to the normal standard.

The images released by Da Nang Police shocked the public because of the grand scale of the "warehouse" producing fake bird's nest drinks that was recently destroyed.

Searching the production workshop of Vannest Company Limited (Dien Duong Residential Area and Market, Dien Ban Dong Ward), the city police seized nearly 38,000 bottles of finished bird's nest drinks of 15 different types.

Currently, the Economic Police Department is continuing to expand the investigation and strictly handle related subjects. This is a warning lesson for those who, for the sake of profit, take advantage of it, regardless of public health.
