300 Mid-Autumn Festival gifts presented to children in special circumstances

The program directly supports 300 disabled children and children in special circumstances in My Duc district, Hanoi city

The program was attended by Mr. Ngo Sach Thuc, Former Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Relief Association for Handicapped Children; Mr. Tran Doan Tien, Former Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Party of Vietnam Online Newspaper, Editor-in-Chief of the Love and Life Magazine, Head of the organizing committee of the program; Mr. Nguyen Cong Dung, Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Party of Vietnam Online Newspaper; Ms. Pham Thu Ha, Director of the Institute of Social Opinion, Vice Chairwoman of the PCC's Commission for Popularization and Education’s Trade Union; Mr. Vu Quy Cuong, Deputy Head of the Press - Publishing Department, Head of the Popularization and Education Department of the PCC's Commission for Popularization and Education’s Trade Union.

Mr. Dang Van Canh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the My Duc district People's Committee; Mr. Tran Quoc Sinh, Vice Chairman of the District People's Council and many leaders and officials of My Duc district also attended the program.

The event belongs to the program "Lighting up belief for children", organized annually by the Vietnam Relief Association for Handicapped Children Central Committee for the past nine years.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the program, Dr. Tran Doan Tien, Editor-in-Chief of the Love and Life Magazine, Head of the program’s organizing committee, emphasized: "Giving love - Warm Mid-Autumn Festival" is not simply a charity gift-giving event, but a journey of love and care. For more than 300 disabled children and children in special circumstances, each child is a story, a life that needs to be shared and encouraged.”

“The organizing committee of this program wishes to bring disabled children and children in special circumstances a warm and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival. This is an opportunity for us to encourage, visit and evoke the children’s bright smiles, so that they can feel the care and love from the community,” he said, expressing his hope that the success of the program will motivate and encourage continued organization of Mid-Autumn Festivals in the coming years, to contribute to helping disabled children have joyful Mid-Autumn Festival, filled with dreams about a beautiful childhood world.

Speaking at the program, Dr. Ngo Sach Thuc, Chairman of the Vietnam Relief Association for Handicapped Children, emphasized that in recent years, the Party and State have paid attention to perfecting policies and laws on children, protection policies and issuing action programs with goals, tasks and solutions for all levels and sectors to join hands in caring for and protecting children.

Mr. Ngo Sach Thuc said that the Love and Life Magazine has coordinated with units and philanthropists to organize a significant program, demonstrating the attention of all levels, sectors, as well as the whole society to join hands in supporting and encouraging orphans and disabled children to rise up in life, to have a warm and loving Mid-Autumn Festival.

Mr. Nguyen Van Minh, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of The Love & Life Magazine, presented gifts to representatives of the My Duc district Women's Union to deliver to disabled children in flood-hit areas

Speaking at the program, Mr. Dang Van Canh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the My Duc district People's Committee, said that in recent years, the district has fully implemented policies to protect, care for, and educate children and proactively issued many specific policies for disabled children and children in difficult circumstances in the district, so that children can develop comprehensively and have a safe and healthy living environment.
