In order to continue effectively caring for students' health and contributing to the protection and care of the health of the capital's population, the plan 275/KH-UBND for implementing school health work for the 2024-2025 school year was issued on September 19, 2024.

Accordingly, the Hanoi People's Committee has set the following targets:

1. 100% of districts and towns will establish School Health Steering Committees. 100% of schools and educational institutions will establish student health care committees.

2. 100% of schools and educational institutions will have separate health rooms that facilitate first aid and student health care, ensuring a sufficient supply of medicine and equipment as per regulations; striving for 100% of schools to have service contracts with healthcare facilities to implement school health work, or have qualified healthcare staff as stipulated in Circular 13/2016/TTLT-BYT-BGDĐT and Circular 33/2021/TT-BYT.

3. 100% of schools and educational institutions will ensure conditions for the environment, facilities, classrooms, sports areas, and teaching equipment.

4. 100% of schools and educational institutions will organize communication and counseling on health care measures for students, staff, teachers, and parents according to various themes suitable for different age groups.

5. 100% of schools and educational institutions will conduct health check-ups and specialized examinations for students, teachers, and school staff at least once a year. All cases of illness will be reported to the families of the students for coordination in referral treatment. For teachers and school staff, cases of illness will be directly communicated to the affected individuals.

6. 100% of schools and educational institutions will regularly monitor health to detect early, provide timely treatment, and prevent common diseases, as well as accidents, food poisoning, and school-related illnesses. All cases of accidents or food poisoning within schools will receive timely first aid.

7. 100% of schools and educational institutions will proactively monitor to detect early cases of illness and outbreaks, especially infectious diseases and emerging or re-emerging diseases; collaborating with local health authorities to promptly and thoroughly handle outbreaks, preventing large-scale outbreaks. 100% of schools will cooperate in implementing vaccination campaigns in the area. 100% of schools will regularly disinfect and ensure environmental hygiene to prevent epidemics. 100% of schools will work with the health sector to review students' vaccination histories and organize supplementary vaccination campaigns as directed by the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education and Training, and the People's Committee.

8. 100% of districts and towns will implement and replicate model programs in schools that suit local conditions, such as health communication and education counseling models; nutritional intervention models to control obesity rates among preschool and elementary school students, especially in urban areas; interventions to reduce risk factors for diseases, promote physical fitness, and improve health; models to prevent and reduce the incidence of certain school-related diseases and injuries; ensuring food safety in schools... contributing to gradually reducing disease rates and improving student health.

9. 100% of students enrolled in educational institutions will participate in health insurance.

10. 100% of schools and educational institutions will be inspected, supervised, and evaluated for their school health work according to Circular 13/2016/TTLT-BYT-BGDĐT and Circular 33/2021/TT-BYT.
