The Vietnam Disabled Youth Association was established with the goal of uniting and protecting the rights and legitimate interests of disabled youth. It aims to create an environment and forum to support disabled youth in overcoming challenges and contributing to the cause of national development and defense. The association also serves as a place to foster positive ideals for its members through inspiring stories, motivating Vietnamese youth to rise above their difficulties.
With the action slogan "Vietnam Disabled Youth – Unite, Rise Up, Assert Willpower, Step Forward with Confidence, Conquer the Future," the congress selected 44 members for the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Disabled Youth Association for its first term. Additionally, a five-member Supervisory Committee was elected.
Following the first session of the congress, the first meeting of the Executive Committee for the 2024-2029 term was held. During this meeting, 14 delegates were selected to join the Standing Board. One notable program implemented by the Organizing Committee was the "Shining Vietnamese Willpower" initiative, which included activities such as the "Shining Vietnamese Willpower" writing contest and the recognition of outstanding disabled youth. Additionally, the committee has supported start-up initiatives for disabled youth.
The Organizing Committee has also emphasized activities that nurture the mental well-being of disabled youth, creating opportunities for interaction and self-assertion. Cultural, sports and vocational training activities have helped disabled youth overcome self-doubt, integrate into the community, improve physical fitness and maintain good health./.
