Children's Health Magazine’s new edition to be launched on October 21

The Children's Health Magazine will organize a ceremony to launch its new edition in printed and online versions in Hanoi at 9:30 a.m on October 21, 2024.

Member of the Party Central Committee (PCC), Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper, Deputy Head of the PCC Commission for Popularization and Education, and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association Le Quoc Minh will deliver a speech and press a button to launch the new edition of the Children's Health Magazine.

The ceremony will be attended by representatives of central agencies, ministries and sectors: PCC Commission for Popularization and Education; Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Information and Communications, Central Council for Literature and Arts Theory and Criticism, Vietnam Relief Association for Handicapped Children and leaders of a number of provinces, cities and press agencies, businesses and entrepreneurs.

On October 6, 2024, the Ministry of Information and Communications issued a license to operate the Children's Health Magazine, in both forms: printed and online magazines. The online Children's Health Magazine is in two languages of Vietnamese and English.

The launching of the Children's Health Magazine is vital to meet the requirements of the development of journalism and media life, and is also consistent with the functions and tasks of the Vietnam Relief Association for Handicapped Children and the work of taking care of children's health and handicapped children in the current period.

The Children's Health Magazine’s functions are to inform and communicate the guidelines, policies and laws of the Party, State and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities; provide information on activities of the Vietnam Relief Association for Handicapped Children; periodically publish (for printed magazine), periodically update information under the provisions of the law (for online magazine) to provide in-depth and specialized information; introduce and publish scientific research results; exchange experiences in mobilizing, receiving help, material and spiritual contributions to organize activities to help handicapped children escape suffering and misfortune, be protected and cared for according to the Law on Children, the Law on Persons with Disabilities and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, helping handicapped children live equally and integrate with the community.

Accordingly, in the coming time, all activities of the Children's Health Magazine will be comprehensively renewed, synchronizing the content of the two printed and online versions. In particular, the magazine will pay special attention to innovating the method of communications on taking care of children's health, applying techniques and technologies to create modern magazines to convey and spread the message "For children's smiles" to the public and readers./.
