In response to the proposals of Bach Mai Hospital, attending and speaking at the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day at Bach Mai Hospital (February 24), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested Bach Mai Hospital to urgently develop a project, to be completed no later than the second quarter of 2025; in which, Bach Mai University of Medicine and Pharmacy will operate under an autonomous model, with initial support from the Government.

The representative of Bach Mai Hospital added: Bach Mai University of Medicine and Pharmacy, when approved, will be a place to train high-quality human resources, with the foundation of the hospital having a team of leading clinical experts participating in direct teaching; the hospital has conditions to help students acquire practical clinical knowledge, as well as opportunities to study with foreign experts and study in countries with developed medicine.

Most recently, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Van Giap, Deputy Director of Bach Mai Hospital, Chairman of the Council of Bach Mai Medical College, was honored to be awarded the title of Honorary Associate Professor by the University of Sydney (Australia). Dr. Giap has made many contributions to the development of medicine domestically and internationally./.
